Places to Stay

Waikiki

Given the remote location of the wedding site, the best hotels to stay in are near the beach in Waikiki. Booking.com is a good site to find reduced rates for hotels in the area. Here are some of our recommendations:

Hilton Hawaiian Village: large resort property with multiple pools, on the beach, access to the beach walk, lagoon and ocean.

Prince Waikiki: near the marina, bright, modern rooms, 10-minute walk to the beach.

Ala Moana Hotel: situated at the Ala Moana Hawaiian Center, an upscale shopping mall, 1.5 miles from the beach, ocean and city views, one pool on property, lower rates.

Moana Surfrider Hotel: Westin resort property steps from the beach, features private beach area, freshwater pool.

Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach: city location, 5-minute walk to the beach, adjacent to shopping and dining areas, lower rates (we’ve stayed here and found it convenient to everything).

Kailua

Waikiki isn’t the only great place to stay. If you’re interested in a quieter side of the island and a spot closer to the wedding site, check out rentals in Kailua via VRBO or Airbnb. We’ve rented a spot here for the week.

About a 10-minute drive from the wedding venue, Kailua is known for some of its popular attractions, including Laniaki Beach, Kailua Beach Park, Pillbox Hike, Royal Hawaiian Golf Club, and shops in Kailua Town.
